Appeal for support to Most Vulnerable Nomadic and Denotified Tribes

Dear All,
“Greetings from NIRMAN”
Amidst the lockdown situation, though there are various efforts taken to safeguard basic living of poorest and vulnerable communities, there is severe need to reach out to them on TIME! We, NIRMAN – a Pune based not-for-profit organization reach out to Pune Street residing communities & most of them are Nomadic and Denotified Tribes (NT-DNT).

Most of them are living in temporary shelters i.e. small hut made by metal or plastic paper sheets, tent house. Financially and socially weaker section of the society is daily wage laborer. They sell toys and balloons. Some of them also sell utensils with exchanging old cloths. There are not basic amenities such as water, electricity, sanitation, internal road, drainage system, toilet etc. The most importantly they do not have citizenship documents which is important for accessing government schemes and programs especially ration amidst current disastrous situation. Mainly women are the bread winner for family. There are no facilities of health services. Lack of health awareness. Due to lockdown they loss their livelihood opportunities. Therefore, there is extreme need of support for food grain and precautionary health measures.  It would be of great help to support some vulnerable families.
Thanking you in anticipation

With regards
